Automatic Printing has been serving Omaha since 1935. What started as a small letterpress operation has evolved into a full-service commercial print shop—while remaining true to its core values: quality work, honest service, and attention to detail.

Almost 100 Years of Family Printing

Automatic Printing was founded in 1935, by Anton Piskac Sr. during a time when printing was a hands-on craft in the truest sense. Early jobs were produced using traditional letterpress equipment, where each piece of type was set and every impression required precision and skill.

As Omaha grew, so did the needs of local businesses—and the capabilities of the shop. Over the decades, Automatic Printing expanded its services to include offset printing, allowing for larger runs and more complex projects, while maintaining the same attention to detail that defined its early years.

Through industry changes, new technologies, and shifting client needs, one thing remained constant: a commitment to doing quality work and building long-term relationships.

The shop has remained family-owned, passing down knowledge, experience, and pride in the craft from one generation to the next. Along the way, it also became a union print shop—reinforcing its dedication to skilled labor and professional standards.

Today, Automatic Printing continues to evolve, offering digital printing for fast-turnaround jobs alongside traditional methods for larger or specialty projects. While the tools have changed, the approach has not.
